Next Stop - vCon Spring 2026, Dallas

It’s been quite a run for me recently, with 5 industry events the past 5 weeks. Am home this week, but then 2 more events over the next 2 weeks.

Next up is the Spring edition of vCon, where Jeff Pulver continues to evangelize virtual conversations as the next wave of innovation with communications technology. If this is new to you, a good place to start would be my recap post from the last event - here.

The Spring 2026 event runs next week, with the main event being the full day of sessions on Tuesday. I’ll be speaking on one of the afternoon breakouts at 2:45, and as I’ve often done at Jeff’s events, will be in tandem with long-time colleague Chris Fine.

Our topic is Redefining Unified Communications for AI Voice, so we’ll be tying together strands from the UC space, AI Voice trends, and the future of work.

If you’re still thinking about attending, it’s not too late, and if you’re going, am sure I’ll see you there!

Next Stop - Fall '25 vCon

Just when I thought event travel for 2025 was done, there’s now one more on the calendar. Tomorrow, I’m going to Washington, DC to be part of Jeff Pulver’s latest iteration of vCon. I’ll be there for a networking dinner, then a full day of sesions on Wednesday, so it’s a short visit.

If you don’t know, I’ve been following this community for some time, and of course, I go back with Jeff to the VON era, when VoIP was arguably the most disruptive force in the communications space since the Internet. I would also argue the only things bigger in more recent times would be the rise of mobility, and now AI. Short story - Jeff has been ahead of the curve on many things, and if that still holds true, vCon is poised to become mainstream in 2026.

Definitely more coming on that front, and for those who follow my podcast, this is a Watch This Space space. Also, if you find this interesting, you’ll want to keep tabs on my LinkedIn feed on Wednesday for in-the-moment updates.
